Each year, the Western Carolina State Fair Foundation (WCSFF) strives to grow and remain one of best events in the area for family fun. We cannot do it without the help of volunteers. 

Volunteer Benefits:

Volunteers that work five hours

  • One free gate ticket to come again to the fair when not working

Volunteers that work 15 hours

  • All above listed benefits (earned by working 5 hours)
  • 2 additional gate tickets

Volunteer that works 25 hours

  • All above listed benefits (earned by working 5 hours)
  • 4 additional gate tickets

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Information: Answer questions about the fair, lost and found, assist in case of a lost child, assist arm banding small children with parent information
  • Competitive Exhibits: Assist in the arts and horticulture areas by care for the entries. Possible rehanging art work, dusting, and watering plants and keeping the areas neat.
  • Community Stage: Assist with all events/competitions. Assist with preformers, unfold and fold chairs for sitting, and assist with contest registration.
  • Little Farm: Assist with an interactive agricultural children’s exhibit. Requires energy and the ability to work with small children
  • Surveys: Ask fair goers simple questions about their experience at the fair. (the good, bad and ugly)
  • Floaters: Assist in any area as needed. Fill-in for other volunteers to take a break, etc.
