The Western Carolina State Fair is offering four lucky fair goers the opportunity to win a golden ticket. The tickets may be redeemed for free entrance into the 2015 fair every day plus unlimited access to rides.
Four golden tickets will be hidden in four different chocolate bars. The chocolate bars, which are available for purchase at Cyndi’s Sweet Shoppe or AllStar Tents & Events, cost $2 per bar with proceeds going to the Savannah River Cancer Foundation. The chocolate bars will be on shelves on September 12, 2015, and the promotion will run until all tickets have been found.
Each golden ticket winner will have a special identification badge made for the week of the fair, which will allow that person access to the fair for all 10 days. The winner will also have access to unlimited rides every day of the fair.
Linda Lucas, with Western Carolina State Fair, explains, “We have never done anything like this before. The Western Carolina State Fair loves giving back to the community that supports us, and this contest will allow us to reward a few fair patrons as well as donate funds to a local cancer foundation.”
The Savannah River Cancer Foundation is a community-based non-profit organization that provides education, support and resources in the fight against cancer. Their programs and services are available to all residents of the following South Carolina counties: Aiken, Edgefield, Barnwell and Allendale.
The fair will be held from Thursday, October 22 through Saturday, October 31, 2015.
