Western Carolina Wobblers Sponsored by Northside Lanes & Western Carolina State Fair

General Rules:

1. Western Carolina Wobblers is an individual contest open to all age groups divided into the following categories: 1st – 5th grades, 6th – 8th grades, 9th – 12th grades, Adults 18 – 60, Senior adults 60 and over
2. Interested schools, clubs, senior centers, individuals, etc. may call (803) 671-0586 and arrange for FREE bowling Pins, donated by Northside Lanes, to be picked up by September 1, 2016
3. Western Carolina Wobblers should be painted, decorated, dressed, adorned to depict a person, animal, profession, or celebrity of your choice
4. Western Carolina Wobblers must be free standing for display in horticulture building during the entire 10 days of the fair
5. Western Carolina Wobblers entry must have name, grade, age, and contact information plainly displayed on bottom of entry to be considered for awards
6. Entries will be accepted October 14th from 4 – 5:30 PM and October 15th from 10 AM – 1 PM at the Western Carolina State fairgrounds – follow the signs
7. Any entry not retrieved on November 1st between 1:30 and 3 PM will be disposed of due to lack of storage space
8. Judging will be done by category; judges will consider age of participant, creativity, neatness, and eye appeal, the decision of the judges is final
9. Winners in each category agree to have their creation displayed at Northside Lanes for one month after which the Western Carolina Wobblers may be picked up from that location
10. Please note there must be at least ten entries in a category for all prizes to be awarded, prizes only awarded if merited
